An immersion suit — also known as a survival suit or gumby suit — is your last line of defence in a cold water emergency. If you end up in the water in NZ or Pacific Island conditions, a SOLAS-certified immersion suit dramatically increases your survival time by preventing hypothermia while you wait for rescue.

Thermal Performance:

• Certified protection in 0°C–2°C water for 6 hours
• Core body temperature drop no greater than 2°C during immersion — meeting SOLAS thermal endurance requirements
• Full-body waterproof dry-suit construction seals against cold water ingress

Buoyancy:

• ≥142N — keeps the wearer face-up and afloat without effort, even if unconscious
