SOLAS Liferaft Lashdown Kit NZ — Complete with Senhouse Sliphook | Stainless Steel Fittings

A correctly lashed liferaft is a SOLAS compliance requirement — and in an emergency, a reliable release is what gets your raft into the water fast. This complete SOLAS liferaft lashdown kit includes everything you need to secure your canister raft to its cradle, finished with a Senhouse sliphook for instant manual release.

Available in two strap lengths to suit SOLAS canister liferafts up to 25-person and Open Reversible liferafts up to 65-person. Simply let us know your liferaft size when you order and we’ll make sure you receive the correct kit.

Designed to work alongside a hydrostatic release unit (HRU) for fully automatic, water‑activated deployment if the vessel sinks before the crew can act — HRU sold separately.

Available ex-stock Auckland.

How it works:
The lashing strap secures the liferaft canister to its cradle, tensioned and held by the Senhouse slip. In an emergency, the crew can release the raft immediately by hand — no tools required.

If the vessel sinks before the crew can act, an HRU fitted in line with the lashing will activate automatically at approximately 1.5–4 metres depth, cutting the lashing so the raft floats free, self‑inflates, and is ready to board. The Senhouse slip connects your lashing strap to the HRU, so the two work as a system.

How to order the right size:
Add the kit to your cart and select your strap length if you know it, or simply note your liferaft’s person‑capacity in the order comments (e.g. “25‑person SOLAS”) and we’ll confirm or supply the correct size before dispatch.

Complete your liferaft deck mounting system:
